Inside the app

One canvas. Everything moves.

Animate Some is a 3D canvas for people who have never touched 3D, and a fast sketchpad for people who have. Art, motion graphics, UI concepts and VFX tests all start the same way: put something on the grid and tap an animation.

PSX

A real PS1 look

Vertex snapping, wobbly textures, dithering and 15-bit colour, rendered the way the PlayStation did it, not faked with a filter. Add CRT scanlines or Game Boy, PICO-8 and ZX Spectrum palettes on top.

MIDI

Perform it live

The MIDI section lets you map the knobs, faders and pads of a MIDI controller to any setting, so you animate by hand instead of setting keyframes.

Camera

Your camera in the scene

Put the live front or back camera feed on a flat plane in your scene and add effects to it in real time.

Key

Green screen

A proper chroma key with spill removal and edge cleanup, so filmed footage drops cleanly into a 3D scene.

Mixamo ready

Characters that move

Import characters from Mixamo as COLLADA files with their animations, then control those animations in the app.

Controllable

Play it with a game controller

Turn on Controllable for an object, press Play, and steer it live with a Bluetooth game controller, like playing a game.

Take it anywhere.

Render a still, a loop or a clip, export the model for other 3D apps, or hand the whole project to a friend to open on their iPad.

Animate Some does not collect any data. Your scenes, models and exports stay on your iPad unless you choose to share them.
